Title: Tressel Ball
Category: excited
Blog Entry: This weekend, I noticed not a changing of the colors of the leaves on the trees as I live in California, but a changing of the color of the Buckeye play calling... and I LOVE IT! Tressel Ball saw a major upgrade with lots of air, some trick plays and a little touch of scoreboard pumping for what I heard were Orange Bowl committee members in attendance. Air Tressel showed me the confidence that he is gaining in Pryor and the talent of the receivers' hands. Robiskie and Hartline made some INCREDIBLE catches and Pryor converted on some really long 3rd downs. Tricky Tressel called a fake punt when the game was already done with. This showed me that Tressel is no longer the conservative coach that he once was. This call received a lot of criticism, but I think that you need to work on these types of things in game situations. Lastly, instead of kneeling down, Bold Tressel let "Boone" Herron get some goal line work and scored a touchdown with seconds left. The cameras showed Tressel with kind of a fake, "Oh No!" look but I think he was doing this to get a good bowl bid and remind the country who we are and I completely agree with it. You don't see SEC or Big 12 teams showing mercy and it doesn't hurt them. It helps them! I think it helps your swagger to score a lot of points and it also gives your team and even some second team members more game situations. So here's to the NEW TRESSEL!
